Article details the conception, development, and execution of the work "This Circle is a Mercle".
"This Circle is a Mercle originated as a chant at a gathering of queer witches to celebrate two birthdays in a house in the woods just outside of Ithaca, New York, in October 2014. The chant was conceptualized through joy and humour-- acknowledging that a gathering of loved ones, together in one place and time, celebrating another turn around the wheel, another cycle, fees like and is a miracle. The miracle is a "mercle" as a play on words-- a rhyme, an echo of our entanglements, an acknowledgment of the power of being together." (p. 100)
