In the grip of Hitler's other mania
The Globe and Mail, May 8 Spring, 1995
Critic John Bentley Mays credits Vera Frenkel's Body Missing as being one of the few powerful artworks in commemoration of WWII. Body Missing is a 36 minute video component to Frenkel's Transit Bar project. The video involves Hitler's amassing of artworks, the documentation and fate of these works. Bentley Mays parallels Hitler's amassing of artworks to his amassing of Europe's Jews.
