68th Flaherty Seminar Hybrid Experience hosted by Vtape, June 17-23

This year, the Flaherty Film Seminar is partnering with arts organizations in Toronto, Mexico City, New York City, and Lisbon to host local experiences of its 68th edition. You can find full details and registration information here. These Pods support the mission to decentralize the Seminar experience and increase accessibility, with hopes to expand to multiple locations, continents, languages, and time zones in 2024 and beyond.

The 68th Flaherty Film Seminar, Queer World-Mending, is programmed by Jon Davies and Steve Reinke.

Vtape is very happy to be among the first four organizations to participate in this new initiative from The Flaherty Seminar: we will host a daily in-person screening here at The Commons @ 401 from June 17 to 23, hosted by local facilitators, and registered participants will also get access to the entirety of the Seminar’s online programming, which extends through the end of July. In addition, Vtape will open our research centre to registered participants weekdays from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for access to a range of relevant publications and Vtape preview videos.

We look forward to presenting these remarkable programs, and to the opportunity to see people and talk about the work we’re showing!
