Welcome to Dylan Adamson & Thanks to Sarah Irvine!

Vtape is very happy to announce that Dylan Adamson has joined our team to take over as Technical & Collections Manager. Dylan is a graduate of TMU’s Film and Photo Preservation and Collections Management Program, where he did his thesis research at the National Film Archive of Greece. Dylan came to Vtape after a year spent working in the archives of the Canadian Centre for Architecture in Montréal, and he has also worked for Light Cone in Paris, and for a commercial digitization house in the GTA.

A serious cinephile, Dylan has written on film for The Walrus, the Los Angeles Review of Books, MUBI Notebook, Screen Slate, et al. He has also curated film programs for Anthology Film Archives in New York and TIFF Cinematheque here in Toronto, notably a recent program of the films of Gordon Matta-Clark.

We would also like to extend our eternal thanks to Dylan’s former TMU classmate Sarah Irvine for taking over technical operations on short notice when Dustin Lawrence left the organization at the beginning of the year. Sarah, you kept us going for many months, and we wish you all the luck in the world!
