As part of the dv_vd series, Vtape and Vidéographe, in partnership with Dazibao, join forces to celebrate the richness and diversity of video art practices in the Montréal and Toronto scenes. This carefully curated program brings together nine works from their respective collections, created by eleven emerging artists. Through this joint initiative, Vidéographe and Vtape aim to highlight and continue their longstanding collaboration. ⊕

Join us for OPEN FORUM, a monthly series of conversations about putting anti-racism on screen, co-presented by York Cinema & Media Arts, Vtape, CFMDC, OCADU & Reel Asian. This Tuesday, writer, director, producer & activist Amar Wala is joined by producer and TIFF Chief Programming Officer Anita Lee, and fimmaker Ali Kazimi! ⊕

The first in a series of screenings, “Bodies at Risk,” takes place Sept. 20, 2024 7:00 – 9:00 PM at Vtape (401Richmond Street West, Suite 452). The program
focuses on gendered expression and the feminist body, and will be followed by a conversation between curator and artist Marusya Bociurkiw and artist Helen Lee. ⊕
