In Video Traction is a single-channel video by Clive Robertson that was shot on a set in the Grand Luxe Hall designed to simulate a hospital room and waiting area. The video combines performance documentation with a dialogue staged between Robertson and Hank Bull.

The video, subtitled “Act 1: The Encoding and Decoding Case,” shows Marcella Bienvenue in a nurse’s costume seated at a make-shift receptionist desk. Audience members were called in one-at-a-time to visit the “patient,” which was a video monitor tucked into a bed that displayed Robertson’s face.
