1978-1991 uses both Jeffery Dahmer and Freddie Mercury to open the conversation about AIDS/HIV. In 1991, Dahmer was captured after his murderous rampage killed 17 men in Milwaukee. Dahmer was used in the media as a manifestation of the AIDS epidemic. Mercury passed away in 1991 due to bronchopneumonia brought on by AIDS. As a 17 year old and coming to terms with my queer identity I assumed I would be infected and dead within years because of my choices. I cast myself in this video as the victims of Dahmer to make this point.

Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd on their Last Cruise, 2010, 2:30min

Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd on their Last Cruise adds a new scene to the James Bond film Diamond’s Are Forever, Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd are the killers hired by Erns Stavro Blofeld to advance his plan and to kill Mr. Bond. After Blofeld has been killed, Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd still remain with their work to kill Mr. Bond with disastrous results. Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd are the most loving and stable couple I have witnessed in a James Bond film. My father was a James Bond fan and I remember as a child watching each film with him. A new movie poster will be created and installed beside the video.

Gay and Light, 2010, 8 min

Gay and Light is an interview of my parents in their home about Mr. Humphries, a character in the British comedy Are You Being Served? As a family we watched Are You Being Served? The main question I ask during the interview is if they worried that their impressionable son watched a gay character? Watching my parents describe their reaction to the show, their son, and the world outside the family leaves the audience asking questions about the artist and the nature of being queer.
