Three celestial beings contemplate a post-human Earth where newly hybridized lifeforms have evolved out of the debris of the Anthropocene. Combining references to Catholic liturgical art and the iconography of the Tarot, this film blends cosmology with an urgent message of ecology. The Music of the Spheres is a seven-minute meditation on the post-human landscape, but its rhythm is not dictated by traditional narrative beats. Instead, the animation is structurally synchronized to a data-sonification of the 47 Tucanae globular cluster, situated 16,000 light-years from Earth.
