When the artist's son was only a few months old, she recorded a four minute sequence of trying to dress him while he howled his ritual protest. The postcard then allows her to explain the situation in a despairing message to her mother. The constant crying of an infant is experienced as an assault on what's left on one's sanity after months of sleep deprivation and the nagging of postpartum aches and pains.
