Somnambulist was inspired by a story in the National Enquirer describing how a young girl was present when her father killed her mother and then himself. Orginally shot on Super 8, the film video attempts to retell this story in an experimental hybrid that raises the event from sensationalism to a more communal understanding.

En s'inspirant d'un article du National Enquirer décrivant une jeune fille qui a vu son père assassiner sa mère et ensuite se suicider, Somnambulist vide l'anecdote de son aspect sensationnel inhérent et reconstruit le traumatisme psychique avec ses conséquences. Tournée à l'origine en Super 8, cette vidéo lyrique et magnifiquement filmée concrétise à la fois l'aspect surréaliste de l'événement et la terreur du quotidien.
