I'm A Killer

John Watt

1973, 11:00 minutes, B&W, English

TAPECODE 158.02

The meaning of a phrase alters as it is repeated from a voice's lowest frequency to its highest. "Way off kilter" becomes "I'm a Killer" through repetition and changes in frequency.

Unedited, static single camera. Watt's third video, and first with sound.

Included in the Art Gallery of Ontario's 'Videoscape" exhibition 1974, the first major survey of video art in Canada.
