Canadians have different opinions about what makes them feel secure and at peace. For some, a strong military is vital for defence and security. To others, the most important thing is employment or social programs. In Making Peace we meet Canadians who speak passionately about how defence policy affects them and their communities. These people were participants in the Citizens' Inquiry Into Peace and Security. Brief excerpts from the inquiry hearings are followed by intimate interviews in ten Canadian communities.

Making Peace is a three part pragramme series:
Part One: What Makes Canadians Secure? (27:18)
Part Two: What Makes Canadians Secure in the North? (27:52)
Part Three: How Can Canada Make The World Secure? (26:45)
