Pecker Hill is the final tape in a trilogy of videotapes by Christian Morrison which addresses the darkness and brutality of the contemporary world.
"Pecker Hill is the name of a neighbourhood in the small Ontario town where I grew up. As a young boy my first exposure to swearing or foul language was through my classmates' substitution of the word 'penis' with 'dick, 'dinky' and 'cock'. By using a 'glossary' of these words culled entirely from memory the tape Pecker Hill attempts to examine the linguistically disembodied penis as a function of homophobic and misogynist agression. The titles in the tape refer to people or places in the most demeaning way, the overlaid structure of destruction is for me cathartic, a way of cleansing myself of the oppression/repression I grew up with." -C.M.
