Teabell Tolls

Colleen Kerr

1988, 17:00 minutes, colour, English

A sort of "Pilgrim's Progress" for womankind, Teabell Tolls looks at an everywoman's life journey. Regardless of external circumstances, all women experience their version of womanhood. Like a waterfall, nature's power surges onward according to some unwritten rule; an undercurrent in every life. Some women believe in romantic myths thinking these will help her understand who she is - some even try to live these myths. all we can really do is patiently wait. "Is tea time merely an old habit to measure the passage of months, days, hours: She has sat like this hundreds of times, awaiting the teabell's toll."
