A poetical manifesto that investigates and confronts the idea of revolutionary Dutch Filmmaker, Jon Ivens, in relation to my own work and within the context of today's electronic technology. It links textual and visual quotations taken from films, books, interviews, performances, etc. and introduces Iven's work from a very personal view, through my own experience. This CD-ROM is integrated part of a multi-channel video/audio installation that has been commissioned by MonteVideo/TBA and the Joris Ivens Foundation for 'Beyond the Bridge'. new media exhibition dedicated to the memory of Joris Ivens, first presented at the Netherlands Filmmuseum, Dec/95 - Jan/96. in Amsterdam. Also shown at Media Forum 96 in Toronto, hosted by Trinity Square Video. Created with the collaboration of Jeff Mann.
