Muda means moulting in both Catalan and Spanish, but it also means mute. And the word mudanza comes from muda and means moving from one house to another. Besides a muda are also the underclothes for the day after. Doing as if moulting had ceased to stand for us only as a metaphor, in this mute film Blanca Casas Brullet slowly sheds a fine layer of skin that finally she leaves hanging as a common summer dress from a coathanger.
