Apple Chancery is a single channel video that examines the complexity some social situations, particularly those typical of the art world, where pretense and artifice can veneer any real connection. The title, Apple Chancery, comes from the font used in the title scene and credits, both referring to and satirizing these same topical facades.

Using performance tableau reminiscent of ancient Roman living sculptures, I express the simultaneous presence and absence I feel in these social moments through my awkward position within a group of young artists in spirited conversation – nude and silently staring out at the viewer while the others obliviously continue their revelry.
