Almost the preface to a ‘train wreck’, this stylized confusion sounds alarms but leaves no time to react. The screen is filled briefly with segments of close-up footage, sections of the artist’s face and head moving rhythmically to a bizarre sound track. Short glimpses of hands clutching the artist’s neck hastily end the vignette.
Women Walking/All of me/Je t’aime is three-part presentation that examines the mechanics of observation and the contexts in which we look. In succession, these works are passive, private and perverse drawing their details from the formats of television, the home move and even pornography.
