The idea of somebody having experienced life both as male and female is very intriguing. How does it feel to be suddenly be a woman after being a male for 30 years? Were these women ever really men?
"I wanted to make a feminist film on women. In 2002 I became friends with Kia, a male to female transsexual woman....Kia proved to be a very special person. I could not do anything else but to involve her in my new film. With her help I got in contact with other women alike.
Julia is a 29-year-old journalist specialised in beauty and health matters. Tiina is 38, and she used to work in a very male dominated field. Kia is a 40-year-old teacher of chemistry and physics.
