Neurotics Anonymous is a satirical look at a society obsessed with labelling and treating so-called mental disorders.

Employing short, dramatic vignettes, the video implies - on the one hand - that many of our “neuroses” are justifiable given the conditions of modern society. And on the other hand, it suggests that unless we assume some individual responsibility for our behaviours, a pseudo-scientific label is not going to be of much help.

No lifestyle is spared in these four “case studies”, which suggest that attaining mental health and well-being is possibly just a stepping stone to a more profound level of despair.
