Through obsessive research, including a market research survey, information regarding Lendrum’s physical, social, subjective and political self was gathered in an effort to map and quantify his identity. Seventy-seven of his friends, family, co-workers, acquaintances and former lovers provided data through the survey. In Dudes, Lendrum’s ‘impostor’, Jacqueline van de Geer and three macho guys perform a series of micro-skits based on the responses to the question “What are Robert’s pronounced traits in situations with only heterosexual men?”
Dudes is one in a series of videos entitled Impostor: A Self-Portrait (326.07), in which Lendrum and van de Geer collaborate. �
