Documents a live-action animation made on a simple scanner and presented as a site-specific installation. Over three screens, words on slips of paper drift into the frame, to be hand-molded into beads on a necklace and transformed into real pearls. Bystander was made for the three display windows of Curry’s Jewelers, commissioned by Micah Lexier for the exhibition Here, Now or Nowhere, in Grande Prairie, Alberta.
