Passing was made in reaction to the sudden passing of a close friend and also to the absurdity of the looming end of the world according to the Mayan Calendar. This video documents a particular zeitgeist peculiar to fall of 2012.
Passing consists of three monologues, with original designed images edited to the rhythms of these three texts. Two of the texts are in the voice of a particular woman and the other text is recited by a male voice, although the sentiments are not I feel gender specific.
Passing does involve considerable image processing in reaction to the accompanying texts, without being literal or specifically interpretive. There is no music as I prefer to avoid melodrama in this instance.
