Real Change Boys Film Project

SkyWorks Charitable Foundation and David Adkin

2013, 66:00 minutes, colour

SkyWorks’ Real Change Boys Filmmaking Project is about issues facing boys and young men today:  ideas of gender, masculinity, male identity, stereotypes, expectations, social pressure, social roles, images of boys and men in the media and popular culture, father-son relationships, role models, and making a positive difference in the world as men.

Last summer we held workshops with a group of young men, ages 14 to 21, to talk about issues and challenges of growing up male in today’s world.  The youth selected their own topics and worked together to direct, shoot and edit their own short documentary video projects.
