The World Portable Gallery Convention 2012 was an international convention of portable galleries and alternative spaces hosted by Eyelevel Gallery during the month of September. The project celebrated the variety of spaces into which curators around the globe have extended public interaction outside of the walls of art institutions.
For this event, Valerie LeBlanc and Daniel Dugas assembled a bamboo-fishing pole with a mini-spy cam and connected it to the MPB pack board. This enabled passersby to explore views of the city not readily visible. Suggestions were taken from the public and the camera was pointed into spaces that they were interested in examining.
