It Was Warm and Sunny When We First Set Out is a short documentary about the Vancouver band, In Medias Res, and the creation of their 2012 album, It Was Warm and Sunny When We First Set Out.  Shot over 5 years, the film chronicles the highs and lows of an indie rock band working to create an artistically honest album amidst the pressure to be commercially successful.
