PROSPECTOR FILMS is a Montreal‐based film production company specializing in documentaries fiction features and short films. Founded by John Christou in 2008, and joined by Aisling Chin‐Yee in 2010, Prospector Films focuses on developing stories with strong points of view. Prospector Films mostly recently launched the award winning films, Rhymes for Young Ghouls (TIFF Top 10) and Last Woman Standing (Hot Docs), and the short films Sound Asleep and Synesthesia. Their latest feature, The Saver, is slated to premiere in 2015.

John Christou is an award wining producer and founder of Prospector Films. The Hollywood Reporter named him one of the top 20 Canadian media executives under 35. He’s produced multiple films, including Rhymes for Young Ghouls, Last Woman Standing, Up The Yangtze, Sound Asleep, File Under Miscellaneous, The Colony and Sorry, Rabbi.
He is actively producing and developing multiple projects including The Saver, Blood Quantum, Ten Thousand Happiness, A Rare Earth, Ti‐Anna, and several more.
