Dermot Wilson was born in Dublin, Ireland, raised in Western Canada. After failed attempts at becoming a hard-nosed, hard drinking journalist, began writing stories and plays. Has performed on stage in Victoria and Windsor and has written plays that were produced at the Victoria Fringe Festival and the Pumphouse Theatre in Calgary. Has published short stories in several literary journals and taught creative writing at the University of Windsor.
