Janet Hawkwood

Born and raised in a farming community in southern Alberta, much of film and video work explores individuals' perceptions towards the land expressed through the medium of personal stories. For the last seven years Janet Hawkwood has lived and worked at Writing-On-Stone Park in southern Alberta. She has a BA in Geography from the University of Calgary, a diploma in film and video from Emily Carr College of Art and Design and has completed her MFA in video at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax.
