I am an independent Canadian filmmaker, born in Okinawa in 1962 of Chinese and Australian parents. I spent most of my life in Vancouver, B.C., a few years in Toronto, a couple more in Germany and am currently living in Chicago. My filmwork incorporates animation, experimental, documentary and narrative strategies. And deals primarily with themes of family, history and memory from a feminist perspective in the context of a continuing media critique.
