Jason Ebanks

Grew up in a family household that listened heavily to reggae, jazz, and soul. Introduced to photography at the age of 10 by his grandfather, then wanted to combine music and photography together. Majored in media arts in high school. Moved to Toronto in '96 from his home town Kitchener. Graduated from Sheridan College in '97 for film production. Started directing short films for his demo reel in 2001, again heavily inspired by music. Ebanks worked for many years as Production Manager at Trinity Square Video, an artist-run media oganization, and has ralso directed music videos for Revolver Film Co.

Ebanks has shot projects for Adidas, LOOP, LAPUZ, and Wolves for their fashion launch soirees. Completed eleven/11-second short films, and worked on "SoundKlash," which showcased 100 of Toronto's music personalities. He's been showcased in a number of film festivals in Toronto, such as Images, Toronto Online, Moving Pictures, Rendezvous with Madness, and Rehab.
