Kohei Usuda was born in Tokyo, Japan, 1980. He is based in Toronto as an independent filmmaker and photographer. His work is roughly divided into two types: 1) the experimental shorts (often incorporating pop music) and 2) avant-garde, medium length narrative cinema. His past screening include the Portobello Film Festival 2003.
