The protagonist contemplates inexplicable hierarchies and glass ceilings. She inserts herself into scenes from a Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants movie where she runs alongside some golden teenage soccer jocks wistful to have been one of them. But she still has fun dancing on the beach, happy to be alive at all. She shows an archival item of her son’s baby tooth. She tells a story about feeling ugly. Her weighted blanket is too heavy. She enjoys beautiful things that pamper and soothe such as spraying perfume on herself from a fancy atomizer, vaping essential oils for the first time, using a rose quartz roller, and showing her jeans which say, “For Yourself” on them. She presents the concept of circumvention. She eagerly awaits for her food delivery on a real-time map with countdown. She aspires to have a yoga glow and does have one. She cracks on. She ends with a poem about not aligning with life.
