Sparkler Time is a counter video demonstrating one 100-minute hour of an imagined "Sparkler Time" system of measurement, inspired by the Decimal Time, Metric System, and Calendar of the French Republic. A series of sparklers in the shapes of the numbers 1 through 100 burn down, counting up the hour. This piece was created for the Campbell Bay Music Festival, 2019, and installed in the woods at night.
Installation instructions: video can be displayed on a monitor or projector, but must be presented installed as a loop, restarting immediately after it ends.
