The Visitation is a humourous critique of the rise of Christianity. The plot revolves around two gay Catholic groups who hold a hunger strike in a church to gain a regular place of worship. By turning the hunger strike into a sophisticated media event, they utilize unabashedly secular public relations techniques.
The Visitation is a meditation on social change in a media environment; manipulating mainstream media channels for community goals.
