TAPECODE 116.04
Mr. Reid is captain and Mr. Pottle deck hand of the pilot boat operating in St. John's Harbour. Together as a team for more than ten years, they work in a 24-hour shift every third day, ferrying pilots to and from ships entering or leaving St. John's. This portrait observes them during three trips out on the boat and around home, the pilot boathouse: eating, talking, waiting and watching TV.
