The Female Fool (Die Eulenspieglerin)

Ulrike Rosenbach

1985, 20:00 minutes, colour

Fragmented imagery is choreographed in a kaleidoscope of sound and colour. Images are overlapped and juxtaposed, manipulated electronically to achieve colour reversals. The eulenspieglerin arduously pushes a television monitor on the floor in front of her. She crawls on her knees, or pulls herself forward on her stomach, she somersaults, she rolls in the sand, gathering together the red wool...A whispering voice recites the text.
