Holy Cow! (A study)

Tomiyo Sasaki

1987, 10:35 minutes, colour

Holy Cow! is a study for a much larger work in progress. It is meant to be a visual exploration into the meaning and role of the sacred cow in everyday Indian life. Images of wandering holy cows are depicted - revealing the undaunting passivity of India's cows, even in Indian street traffic.
