Waves From The Pleasure Palace (archive box 2)Les Ondes Du Palais des Plaisirs
1991, 09:20 minutes, colour
The properties of music (sound waves) combined with visual images from the movement of nature (sky, water, wind) are synthesized into patterns of pleasure in, WAVES FROM THE PLEASURE PALACE. This five-part tribute to nature, puts forward the concern for the preservation of our environment in a subtle way.
The tape is divided into short segments, each dealing with a specific location on a small out-island in Georgian Bay. The music and natural sound effects were designed specifically for the video images. Each visual environment provides an interactive soundscape for the viewer to contemplate.
