1986, 04:07 minutes, B&W, English

TAPECODE 340.04

"Geller, working as a performer, investigates the gestures of mannerist acting from the sublime to the ridiculous and on the edge of the unbearable. Each scene is recreated through acting but with a certain amount of attention, albeit poverty-stricken to settings and lighting indicative of the originals. An illustration of female positions ensues and the tape ends up being a succinct listing of 'approved' women's roles, from kitchen anger to grovelling and begging." -Erika Suderburg
