Identities are fluid, dynamic, forever evolving. In this tape, five women of mixed race, black and white, speak of their experiences in the shifting world of race. Stories of their experiences with their society, cultures, friends and family are juxtaposed with images that challenge existing notions of essential identities. Intertwined in the humorous and poignant stories of these women is a conversation between the two videomakers about the wider context of mixed race women in North America.
