To share knowledge and experience with our coming generations has always been the teachings of our elders. Part One talks to native students about the importance of getting a good education and how obtaining a good education gives you a choice in career opportunities. Native role models are featured sharing their experiences about living in both worlds. Their experiences reflect most of the problems native students face when leaving their homes and families to pursue their education in different towns and cities. Part Two features native role models within the Ministry of Natural Resources. They speak of the importance of having a voice and presence within the government. This video highlights the importance of maintaining our culture and returning to the land with a more technical approach. Part Three examines Native Self-Government and how getting a good education can benefit Native people in their struggle for self-reliance. The program concentrates on three First Nations communities and how they are dealing with the realities of Self-Government.
