The Ill Id And The Odd Sea is an experimental narrative shot on video, 16mm B/W film and Super 8 film. The story follows Homer on an adventure into a repressed childhood memory of his dog. Along the way he encounters a strange game show, the Titanic, his ego and superego and the 'Ill Id', a character from Russian Filmmaker Sergi Eisenstien's 1925 classic 'Battleship Potemkin'. This epic adventure takes place amongst elaborate cardboard sets and juxtaposes the genres of television, silent film, and home movies.
