Black And White

Ivekovic & Martinis, Dalibor Martinis and Sanja Ivekovic

1985, 10:00 minutes, colour

A man and a woman are about to begin a game of chess. The chess-board gradually develops into a battlefield of opposite views of life. The man's attitude can be deduced from the Zen-story of two priests and the stream, whereas the woman's is determined by a feeling of being the captive of the limited space of the home. These two attitudes mingle ever more, the chess-board becomes the kitchen floor, the priests are transformed into chessmen.
