Fear of spiders: Spiders is a static visual examination of a large garden spider framed by the dark of night. The spider stands alert in its hunting position at the centre of its web. Piche has created a suspended psychological narrative structure through a synthesized "saxophone" improvisation.
Planes, Spiders and Motion Pictures At English Bay comprise a three part "video-music" work by Ottawa-based artist Tom Sherman, and Jean Piche, a composer from Montreal. Sherman and Piche have committed themselves to an ongoing series of collaborative works in the video-music form.
