Taking On A Name is characterized by its use of lengthy, serene shots. The subtle blending of colour, sound and vision are used to create a timeless ritualistic piece. A woman standing in a gently babbling brook presents three different images; she holds two candles until they go out, wearing a chasuble, she slowly raises and lowers her arms; finally she allows the garment to fall away revealing her nakedness.
