This sampler is a compilation of videotape fragments assembled from individual pieces produced by artists associated with Intermedia, a loosely knit collective that was a dynamic force in Vancouver during the late 1960's and early 1970's. The sampler consists of excerpts from thirteen separate pieces, many of which no longer exist intact. Among the works included are poetry readings by Gerry Gilbert and Roy Kiyooka; Fire and Mirrors on the Beach by Image Bank and General Idea; Mr Peanut (Vincent Trasov), Art Rat (Gary Lee Nova) and Candyman (Robert Fones) at the Botanical Gardens; Mirror and Feedback by Michael Goldberg, Merrily Paskal and Tom Paskal; a Saxophone Interlude with Dr. Brute (Eric Metcalfe); Tsukemono Recipe by Flakey Rosehips (Glenn Lewis), Cowboy Movie and Junk Photo Exhibit by Taki Bluesinger and a Sunset Portrait farewell to the Image Bank.
