Promise Keepers: A Christian Men's Movement
It is apparent that sports is a religion for some people, but now, thanks to the efforts of a retired football coach and his newly reborn team, religion has become a sport as well. Attendance is high at these particular games and yes, score is being kept.
On this biblical playing field they thrive on each other's public testimonies; they hug, sing and cry together. To these men, it doesn't matter what your race, class or gender is, as long as you all wear the same uniform. God, like an athletic coach, is the Great Equalizer.
These players strive to be polite, caring and gentle leaders; yet, simultaneously they insist on taking back what is rightfully theirs. Who else, except these men, will fix their own game? When their masculinity is on the line, this team plays "for keeps".
