River is a multimedia experiment in exploratory navigation through non-conventional interface design. The user must decipher a path through the story by solving visual and audible puzzles of clue and suggestion. Rewarding sound effects and visual treats encourage the user to keep exploring. Animated text, photocollages and Quick-Time video portray the river as a place of life and pleasure. But a place of death and decay evolve as the ecological story of pollution unravels.
