Ten television commercials and a two-minute promo video produced for Contemporary Dancers of Winnipeg.
These pieces are vignettes which do not exerpt the repertoire of the company. Instead they translate the style and feel of their choreography into the video medium. Fast-paced and humourous, these commercials were described by the Winniqeg Free Press as "cult hits," and prompted one television station to offer free air time to run the campaign. The promotional video was part of a live satellite exchange between Winnipeg and its sister city in the Ukraine.
The Contemporary Dancers comprend dix publicités pour la télévision et un vidéo promotionnel pour la troupe de danse Winnipeg Contemporary Dancers. Le montage saccadé et les prises de vue humoristiques font de ce vidéo beaucoup plus qu'un collage d'extraits du répertoire de la troupe. Il s'agit plutôt d'illustrations visant à exprimer l'essence de leur style et l'ambiance des spectacles, d'une étiquette en somme.
